This 7-hour audio supplement to Chapters 1-10 of Dine` Bizaad Binahoo’aah – Rediscovering the Navajo Language introduces the Navajo sound system with practice in sounds, useful phrases and dialogues to build a strong foundation for communication skills. You will be introduced to Navajo verbs and practice working with the verbs as you add prefixes the verb stem to express various aspects of the verb action. You will learn to use the basic patterns of Navajo grammar to construct sentences. You will learn terms for family relationships, names of strength, and clan relationships. You will learn descriptive nouns to name household items and use handling verbs to express actions. You will learn about clothing and the parts of the body with cultural lessons which emphasize the importance of family ties, a respect for oneself and pride in the strength of Navajo people.
