Description
In this authentic Hopi folktale, two young children are left behind in the drought-stricken village of Oraibi. A sunflower stalk fashioned into the shape of a hummingbird magically springs to life to supply them with corn. The magical bird then journeys to the underworld to ask Muy’ingwa, the god of fertility, to restore precious rainfall to the land.
