Imagine if the government told you to pack up your things and move away from everything you knew to live on land you had never seen. That is exactly what happened to the family of Mountain Wolf Woman before she was born. Then the family traveled hundreds of miles by canoe to the land in Wisconsin they considered home. Once back home, however, they did not stay in one place. They followed the seasons to hunt and gather food.
