While the serape is now very common to both Spanish and Native American textiles, it actually has its roots in the Mexican weaving tradition. It is lighter in weight than the other Pendleton blankets. Robe size blankets are preferred by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes and wrapping around oneself as a robe. They are impressive as wall hangings and practical when folded on a sofa or at the foot of a bed. 82% wool, 18% cotton. Dry clean. Made in the USA. The robe is 64″ x 79″.
