Description
Curiosity leads a young warrior to track a new animal. It leads him far from home, but at last he finds a herd of strange creatures, the horses. The people become filled with pride and use the horse to rule over the plains. Then Great Spirit, who gave the gift of the horse, takes it away. This traditional Lakota legend is told in English and Lakota. The illustrations are traditional ledger drawings in the style of the forefathers. Ages 5 and up.
